Happy 6th Birthday Duke Barnett!

Well there's a special little boy that I know and love very much and today just happens to be his 6th birthday! Man does time fly! I don't know what I'm going to do when my baby is turning six! I can just imagine how Crustul feels today! UGH! Where does the time go! Can't we just have a little clock to rewind to those special times and of course to those sweet baby years or actually months and weeks! It was six years ago I was workin' at RMC (YUCK) goin' and checkin' on Crustul every so often to see if that sweet man was here yet! And that afternoon when I got off, I flew to Jacksonville to get Joey and we made it back in the nick of time! He had to wait on his Aunt Torie and Uncle Joey to be there for his arrival! He is such a precious boy and I love him very much. I may not be his aunt by blood, but I am his aunt in my eyes! I have many friends or so I'd like to think, but I have very few sisters. Being an only child God blessed me with those few I call a sister and his mommy is one of them. I hope that Jack Rush is just as close with Duke and Molly as I am with his mother. And then they can take care of us when we're old and grey! :)

Happy Birthday Yesterday!

Yesterday was my precious Aunt Mal's birthday! I love her so much! I couldn't ask for actually two better aunts in the whole world! Her and my Aunt Candy both are the best! She is kind, thoughtful and sometimes a little crazy, but she is precious! She makes the best porkchops you have ever put in your head too! And always has the best YooHoo's in her fridge! haha! And she also has the best husband in the world! My Uncle Benny! Everybody needs an Aunt Mal and Uncle Benny! And she is also the other Rush in the family, Marilyn Rush. Let's see, there was my PawPaw who was the original Rush, then my Aunt Mal, then me, then Evan and of course Baby Jack Rush!

Simpy haaaad a wonderful Christmas time!

What a wonderful Christmas this year! My sweet little man's first Christmas! I didn't realize how fast your children really grow. It makes me so sad that his first Christmas has came and went! Santa was really good to him this year and so was his Grandie and Poppa! I believe a little too good! Joey and I said we were going to go light this year, he is only 6 months old and what can we really get him, but boy did my mom and step-dad find him things to get! HaHa! And Santa did a little too much as well! Christmas this year was so special to us. When my sweet nephew and nieces were born and Caden was the first baby since me in 21 years, it was so fun to watch Christmas through the eyes of a child, but when they are your own, WOW, that is somethin'!! I love being a mother and sometimes wondered if God would ever give me the chance. And now He has and this baby and my husband are the best things that could have ever happened to me! :) I love them so much and I can't forget Pedro and Lucy too! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and can't wait to hear all of your stories and see your wonderful pictures! I will hopefully be able to catch everyone up on how we got to the point we are today soon! And post lots of pics soon too!

The Greeting Cards have all been sent...well almost!

What better way to start my first blog with my sweet baby's first christmas card! I have still not received them and didn't want to post them till I sent them all out, but it looks like you might get them on christmas! I'm still new at this blog thing and should have it down soon. I'm starting this blog because I know one day I might get around to a scrapbook, but I'm sure no time soon. So this will preserve memories for my sweet baby, family, friends and myself. I will go back a few months later and add to this blog and get everyone caught up to the present soon! :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I'm so excited 'cause this weekend is our annual "A Very Tacky Christmas" and I will post pics next week and blog all about it! This has to be one of my most favorite parties that I attend. It was origanally started by another one of my most favorite and bestest friends in the world Sayruh. But now we have brought the tradition back to Anniston and can't wait to see everyone. I will also post pics of the original party that started it all in the next blog!
